Our collection of walking books is proving very popular once again this spring, as walkers and trekkers head off in search of some good trekking.

We’ve got an absolute treat for anyone visiting the Lake District – Graham Dugdale’s Curious Cumbrian Walks. Fans of Graham’s Curious Lancashire Walks will at once be familiar with Graham’s inimitable style and fascinating hand-drawn maps. Each walk description includes a prelude which delves into the county’s unique and often mysterious past. See the book’s page here.

Chris at our office recently visited the Lakes and tried out a few of walks and particularly recommends walk 30, an enjoyable 6-7 mile circuit which ascends Black Crag via Tarn How, the crag affording a particularly stunning view of Windermere.

If you’re looking for more inspiration as we head towards the summer, do take a look at some more of our walking books, as well as Graham’s companion book, Curious Lancashire Walks.
