Gillian Magee

It has been my absolute pleasure to work for Carnegie since 1998, when I became their Book Sales Representative. It is a lovely company producing top quality titles that I am able to offer with pride, and publishing is a great industry to work in for me because I get to talk to and meet lots of interesting, pleasant people who also value our books. Since 2011, when my role changed to that of Carnegie Events Manager, I have hugely enjoyed working with booksellers of all kinds (especially the independents) to think of creative ways to promote our books. Away from Carnegie I have a hectic and happy life, with 3 wonderful grown up boys who mean the world to me, although I pray they won’t make me a grandma for a long long time because I refuse to age!!
