Laura Tristram
After completing a BA History of Art and an MA Publishing, I was very pleased to be offered work experience at Carnegie, which happily morphed into a full-time position in September 2011. I really enjoy working on a variety of projects, but especially like our own range of history books. (Each and every staff member is also lovely, but I don’t tell them as they will get big heads!). I always have to have a very large mug of tea to hand, and it is just as well that Cat feels exactly the same so we can take it in turns to feed our addiction!
When I am not at Carnegie I enjoy wining and dining, reading (of course), visiting family down south and looking after my two Giant African Snails, Larry/Larrietta and Joel/Jolie (snails are hermaphrodites, don’t you know!). I also love traveling and learning about other cultures, which is not something I’ve been able to do much of whilst being a student, but I will hopefully make up for lost time over the next few years.
